Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for its Burlington, NC location to receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing. The role involves specimen handling, equipment maintenance, data entry, and maintaining laboratory safety standards on a Saturday-Thursday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Perform specimen and patient information scanning and data entry tasks
• Monitor lab equipment functionality and conduct routine maintenance
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and maintain test bench supplies
• Maintain clean and safe laboratory environment; complete administrative documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfort handling biological specimens and accurate specimen identification
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and physical capability for the role
